STEMCON

STEMCON is where innovation comes alive. Where students from across the Midwest transform science, technology, engineering, and math into something unforgettable.
This annual celebration of curiosity and creativity brings together tomorrow’s brightest minds for hands-on challenges, inspiring demonstrations, and a vibrant showcase of talent.
STEMCON isn’t just an event; it’s a catalyst. It’s the spark that lights the path from classroom dreams to groundbreaking careers. As students collaborate, compete, and create, they’re not only exploring the limitless possibilities of STEM fields—they’re shaping the future.
“I just felt a real sense of knowing that someone here today [at STEMCON], some young person, is going to do something great. I am just happy to say that I was here at a time when they start their careers.”
– Marcia Fudge
Former United States Representative and Secretary of Housing and Urban Development

Programs & Events

The Concept Science and Engineering Fair (CONSEF) provides a dynamic platform for students to demonstrate the power of a STEM-focused education. With nearly 40 Concept Schools campuses and local Chicago-area public schools participating, CONSEF showcases a remarkable variety of student projects, hands-on experiments, and interactive activities.
For 2025, CONSEF’s theme, From Classroom to Career, emphasizes how STEM skills open doors to real-world applications and boundless opportunities beyond the classroom. It’s not just an event; it’s a launchpad for future innovators.

STEM EXPO celebrates science, technology, engineering, and math, showcasing young innovators from across the midwest as they bring their learning to life through interactive demonstrations and creative problem-solving.
Presenting models, prototypes, and experiments that illustrate key scientific principles in engaging and entertaining ways, STEM EXPO participants have the opportunity to refine their communication skills, tackle complex challenges, and inspire audiences with their ingenuity.

RoboCON challenges students to design, build, and program robots that face off in thrilling competitions. From LEGO League to VEX IQ and beyond, these contests reveal the ingenuity, teamwork, and determination of young roboticists.
This year’s theme, Code for Resilience. Build, Overcome, Achieve., focuses on how coding and programming empower students to solve real-life challenges. RoboCON isn’t just a robotics competition—it’s a showcase of how technology and creativity can shape a stronger, smarter future.

Math Olympics brings together some of the top math minds for a battle of problem-solving, logic, and precision. Open to the top two students from each school participating in our annual MathCON event, Math Olympics challenges students to push beyond formulas and calculations, embracing the power of mathematical thinking to tackle complex problems.
