Concept Schools is excited to announce that Indiana Math and Science Academy will be adding a third campus in the fall of 2026. IMSA Central, which will be located in Haughville, is set to become the 42nd school within Concept’s network.
Just like IMSA North and West, the new school will provide a premium education option to the neighborhood.
“IMSA Central is a charter school determined to provide students with a high-quality, free and public education while empowering community members to make the school their own,” Concept Schools Chief Growth & Communications Officer Dr. Chris Murphy said. “This opportunity does not happen without the excellent local leadership of the IMSA governing board and the ongoing support from our charter authorizer, the Mayor's Office of Education Innovation.
“Concept Schools is proud of these partnerships and looks forward to bringing our STEM-focused model to Haughville.”
IMSA Central will begin as a K-6 school and will look to enroll 200 students in its inaugural year. It plans on expanding its programming to K-12 by 2032 where it could offer roughly 500 seats to locals trying to find the best school for their children.
With a clear vision set in place for the new school, the Indianapolis Charter School Board unanimously approved IMSA’s bid for a third campus with an 8-0 vote. Concept Schools and IMSA want to thank everyone who helped make this possible.
“We've met with many Haughville community members and leaders, and we look forward to establishing many more meaningful partnerships in support of our IMSA Central students and families,” said IMSA Director of External Affairs Chris Bultman.
