John Aytekin

Dr. John Aytekin has been a dedicated leader at Concept Schools since 2002, serving in a wide range of roles including teacher, principal, superintendent, and now Chief Accountability and Human Resources Officer. He played a pivotal role in founding and establishing the Indiana Math and Science Academies, where he served as both principal and superintendent. His servant leadership has made a lasting impact on the organization, continually driving excellence for students, families, and staff across the network.

With over 14 years of senior management experience, Dr. Aytekin has been instrumental in the sustained success of Concept Schools. His deep expertise, strategic insight, and student-centered approach provide critical support to the network’s leadership team. As Chief Accountability and Human Resources Officer, he oversees both departments, ensuring operational effectiveness and high standards of performance.

Dr. Aytekin holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Northern Illinois University. He also earned a BS in Biology/Science Teaching from Marmara University, an MS in Educational Leadership from the University of Dayton, and an Ed.S. in Educational Administration with a Superintendent Endorsement from Northern Illinois University.

In addition, Dr. Aytekin is a SHRM-SCP (Society for Human Resource Management – Senior Certified Professional), underscoring his advanced expertise in strategic human resource leadership. He also holds Illinois certifications in Education Administration and Supervision for K–12 (Principal and Superintendent).

He lives in the Chicagoland area with his wife, Aynur, and their three children.
