English Language Development

With a significant portion of our student body developing English as an additional language, the Concept Schools ELD Department remains committed to ensuring equitable access to high-quality instruction for all multilingual learners. Our mission is to equip students with the academic language skills necessary to engage confidently across reading, writing, listening, and speaking tasks in every content area besides social life English language skills

Grounded in culturally sustaining practices, our ELD teachers collaborate closely with classroom educators to provide strategic support tailored to each learner’s needs. Depending on a student’s proficiency level, this may include co-teaching, small-group language instruction, targeted intervention, or in-class scaffolding that strengthens comprehension and communication. Our goal is to empower students to thrive academically while honoring their linguistic resources and cultural identities.
