Noble Academy Columbus Earns Five-Year STEM Designation from ODEW

At Noble Academy Columbus, this school year has been defined by growth, achievement, and a continued commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for students both inside and outside the classroom.

From academic recognition to increased student engagement, Noble Academy Columbus is celebrating several major milestones that reflect the hard work of students, staff, and families across the school community.

One of the year’s most significant accomplishments was earning a five-year STEM School Equivalent Designation from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (ODEW). The recognition highlights the school’s long-term commitment to STEM-focused learning and innovative classroom experiences.

Over the past four years, Noble Academy Columbus has implemented STEM practices throughout its K–8 classrooms, giving students opportunities to engage in project-based learning, inquiry-based instruction, and hands-on design challenges. Students regularly work through the engineering design cycle to solve real-world problems while also connecting with community members and career professionals to better understand the opportunities available to them in the future.

The school also saw academic growth reflected in this year’s ODEW Report Card, increasing to a 3.5-star rating. Based on those results, Noble Academy Columbus was additionally awarded the Quality Community School Support Fund, recognizing continued progress and student achievement.

Student engagement also remained a strong focus throughout the year. Daily attendance increased to 94%, reflecting the strong relationships, supportive environment, and sense of community built throughout the school.

In addition to these accomplishments, Noble Academy Columbus received grant funding from both OSLN and ODEW to further support student learning. OSLN funding will help expand Project Based Learning opportunities, while ODEW funding will support High Dosage Tutoring for students across all grade levels.

The school’s impact was also recognized at the network level, as Deontay Scott was named the 2025–2026 Concept Schools Teacher of the Year for the Middle School Division. The recognition reflects the dedication of educators throughout the building who continue to support students academically and personally each day.

As Noble Academy Columbus looks ahead to the upcoming school year, the focus remains on creating a school environment where students feel supported, challenged, and excited about what they can achieve both in and beyond the classroom. Concept Schools Logo
