Cedar Rapids, IA - Horizon Science Academy has officially announced the opening of Horizon Science Academy Cedar Rapids, a new tuition-free public charter school serving students in Kindergarten through 5th grade, set to open in August 2026.
Along with the opening, the school has confirmed its location at 3233 Blairs Ferry Rd NE in Cedar Rapids, providing families with a clear look at where this new educational option will take shape.
The campus will be housed in a state-of-the-art facility through a long-term partnership with Radiant Church, creating a safe, secure, and welcoming environment designed to support both students and staff from day one.
Horizon Science Academy Cedar Rapids will deliver a rigorous, student-centered curriculum with a strong emphasis on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The school’s approach is focused on helping students build critical thinking skills, explore their curiosity, and grow academically at every stage of their educational journey.
