Every month, staff have the opportunity to nominate a teacher to be selected as Concept Teacher of the Month. All nominees will receive a certificate of appreciation. The CSAD team will choose one winner from the nominated teacher's list to see who will be that month's Concept Teacher of the month. They will also receive a $100 gift card.
For November we have three teachers who were chosen for Teacher of the Month, they are:
Sylvia Meldrum- Horizon Science Academy Columbus High School, Biology, Health, and Technology
Jeremy Witmer- Horizon Science Academy Youngstown, 6-8 Social Studies
Samantha Martin- Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park, 5th Grade Math
The Teacher of the Month may be a teacher who shines in; providing engaging lessons, building strong relationships with students, helping their colleagues, improving their teaching practice, etc. We are asking APAs to nominate only one teacher per school each month.
