Each fall, Hispanic Heritage Month invites us to celebrate the vibrant cultures, histories and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities across the United States. From art and music to science, politics and education, their influence is woven into the fabric of our nation. This month provides a dedicated space to reflect on their impact and honor the individuals whose stories continue to shape our shared identity.
“Hispanic Heritage Month is a meaningful opportunity to honor the histories, cultures, and positive impact of our Latiné communities—past and present,” Concept Schools Director of Educational Empowerment and Opportunity Regina Armour said in a statement. “For our network schools, where a significant number of our students identify as Latino, this celebration is more than a month on the calendar; it’s a chance to affirm identity, build pride, and strengthen belonging as we stand together with them during these difficult times.
“Recognizing Latiné heritage reminds ALL of us that our collective story is richer when every voice, language, and tradition is valued and seen as essential to who we are as a community.”
Schools from across Concept’s network used this past month as a reminder of the future we’re building together. It is one rooted in championing Hispanic and Latino cultures and celebrating the contributions Hispanic Americans have made and continue to make every day.
