At Concept Schools, we get a little bit excited about all things related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). We always keep an eye out for what’s going on in STEM in the news. Each week we will share what we think is awesome and worth learning about.

Hidden Figures No More

Earlier this week, Mattel announced that it is rolling out 17 new Barbie dolls — including 14 one-of-a-kind dolls that are styled after modern-day role models for its “Shero.” There will also be a new line called “Inspiring Women” that pays tribute to historical role models. 

 

Houston, We Have Penguins

We are constantly discovering new things about our home planet, and scientists have found something quite exciting: a supercolony of penguins. The well-dressed birds were discovered by satellite images from NASA. What might we find hiding next?
