Objectives:
Ø
Encourage art education and promote artistic
creativity and expression.
Ø
Provide an opportunity to recognize and exhibit
outstanding student artwork.
Ø
Cultivate a sense of accomplishment in students
from seeing their own work on exhibit and, at the same time, have
the opportunity to view the work of other young artists.
Eligibility:
Ø
All students and staff currently enrolled in
Concept Schools
Ø
Each piece of artwork must be from the current
school year, created under the supervision of the teacher/art
instructor, and be completed without any outside
assistance.
Types of Artworks Accepted:
Ø
Any media, any size may be entered.
All
entries must be original artworks.
*Please let us know in
advance if any of the work exceeds 5’ x 5’*
Ø
Students may not enter the same category
twice.
Ø
All two-dimensional work must be mounted on heavy
paper (i.e. tag board, mat board). Matted work will also be
accepted but it is not a requirement.
Ø
No art work should be mounted within
glass.
Ø
Canvas board and stretched canvas paintings are
permitted without additional framing.
Ø
All three-dimensional art work must sit on a paper
mat.
Ø
All entries must have a Concept Schools
identification label attached to the lower right-hand corner, on
the front of the art work. *see pre-formatted

Liability:
Ø
The
student and parents assume all responsibility
for insurance coverage of all artwork entered in the Concept
Schools Art Exhibition.
Ø
Student/parents must release photographic rights to
Concept Schools Art Exhibition for purposes of education and/or
publicity. This includes the right of the Exhibition to post your
art work on its website.
Ø
Be advised that
works may be hung using staples.

All entries must be mailed by April 23rd 2010.
Ø
An entry form must be completed for each art work
entered
Ø
Fees are $5 per entry.
Ø
Schools should collect all fees from students and
send one check that includes the fees for all entries. DO NOT SEND
CASH.
Ø
Each school may submit a maximum of 60 Art
works, doing their best to represent each grade in the
school. Staff work does not have to be included in that
number.
Judging and Awards:
Ø
Judges will be provided by the Gallery
Ø
Awards will be broken down by grade and by
category. For each level there will be one
“grand” winner.
Ø
All entries will receive a certificate for
participation and monetary award.
